Abstract

 The objective of the research was to find out and to analyze to what extent the influence of service marketing mix and service quality on students’ satisfaction in Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, UMSU. The type of the research was an explanatory study. The result of the research showed that service marketing mix which consisted of product, location, process, people, physical evidence, and service quality which consisted of direct evidence, reliability, response, security, and empathy simultaneously had positive influence on students’ satisfaction, while the cost for education had negative influence.

Abstract

This research aimed to find industrial needs about student’s ability and skill during apprentice at company.  This research is descriptive quantitative, which is using questionair to collected data from the respondent. The result showed that, the apprentice program had be effective enough, but there were still constraints that faced by student. The constraint were soft skill, communication, interaction, adaptation, discipline dan computer skill.  The most usefull competence were computer skill and soft skill to connected to the people.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop model remuneration based competence existing by model the remuneration in line with the aspirations of employees and conditions institution. This research use type draft research descriptive quantitative by approach phenomenology. Population this research about 1001 respondents. Samples taken some 100 respondents or 10% of pupulasi with level of trust research 95% and error margin 9.3%. The results showed the components of each respondent's answer to 16.65% remuneration quantities derived from the assessment of competencies, 7,11% based on seniority, 10,24% based on education, 7.5% derived from behavior, was at 6.54% originated from the initiative, 6.37% comes from creativity, 6,61% comes from discipline, 5,78 comes from cooperation, 5,74 comes from loyalty, 6,61% come from attendance, 6,68% completion work programme, 6% come from the ability of problem solving, 5.48% from services profession and 2.72% comes from other assessment.

Abstract

This research aims to test the correlation between sales growth, assets structure and external funding structure. Result indicates partially,that sales growth did  not have correlate to external funding structure, neither do assets structure.  Simultaneously, sales growth and  assets structure have no correlation to external funding structure.  There were mean that external funding structure is affected by another variable outside this research.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the correlation between motivation  and compensation  to employee satisfaction. Simultaneously motivation  and compensation had positive influence on employee satisfaction.  Partially, motivation had positive influence to satisfaction, but compensation had no influence to satisfaction. That means that company have to increase employee satisfaction that can be increasing employee performance.

Abstract

Among the reason of choosen assurannce company, performance service is the mostly affected. So that this research aims to find affect of performance service to consumen decision about assurance company.  The result showed that performance service influenced consumen decision, so that company must take focus on improving service quality.  Dimension of performance services are tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and emphathy.

Abstract

Performance appraisal in the view of Islam has not been much studied by Islamic scholars, particularly who focused on the areas of management. During the time, performance parameters of the discourse in the literature of human resource management was the conventional view. The views of conventional, not necessarily in accordance with Islamic values. Most conventional literature suggests about the values of performance only oriented to the life of the world and the material itself, not for the purpose of the afterlife and spirituality. Based on the above issues, this paper aims to identify how the parameters of performance appraisal according to the Islamic view. The results of the analysis have attempted to explore the performance values in the Islamic perspective, based on the views of Muslim scholars who focused on the areas of human resource management. View of Islamic scholars also referenced from the Quran as the supreme reference source in Islam.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the correlation between competence and commitment  to employee performance. Variable competence and commitment simultaneously and partially had positive influence on employee performance.  That means that company have to increase employee performance by increasing the competences and commitment, through any program that should be developed.

Abstract

The application of the concept of decentralization and regional autonomy in Indonesia especially in Medan City is still yet to show maximum results as expected, especially regarding for potential revenue.  One of these revenues to the local government that the potential is about parking.  Still found some flaws in the application of its management, including the fulfillment of tax revenue target and parking fees in the city of Medan. With the fulfillment of tax revenue target and parking fees, the city of Medan will be able to increase the independence of the region through increased income tax revenue region.  Tax effort is to increase the local tax measured by the ration between the acual source of revenue  to a source of potential revenue.  It takes qualified human resources and management oversight that maximum parking tax in Medan can contribute the maximum so as to meet the target of tax revenue and levies to support the budget.
